Optimise your Health with CapraNutrition

Reach Your Peak Performance

                                                                 About Karina

Hi, I'm Karina. I'm a nutritionist, specialising in sport nutrition, digestive health and weight management. I divide my time between Corsica and London. In Corsica, my husband and I run a wellness and sports training camp, where I train in trail running. In London, my favourite city, I practise nutritional therapy and maintain both personal and professional activities.

Being passionate about nutrition and physiology, I have completed an exciting research project analysing the impact of caffeine on electrolytes balance and hydration within my BSc (Hons) degree in Nutritional Therapy at University of Portsmouth. But my research journey has never stopped after university. I continue exploring experimental studies comparing various training methods and nutrition on physical and mental performance.

I'm also a certified yoga instructor and personal trainer, having completed several marathons and ultra endurance events.

Nutrition advice you can trust

What you can expect from working with me:

Learn what, when and how to eat. You probably already have a good idea of what’s healthy and what’s not… so why aren’t you seeing results? I will help you to put it all together: the balance, the timing and the amount that’s right for you.

Identify and help you overcome barriers. Everyone has challenges. Sometimes, we grow so accustomed to them that we don’t even realise how much they are holding us back. I will help you see what’s moving you towards your goals and what might be keeping you from doing and being your best.

You’re not doing it alone. Having someone you are accountable to when you set goals can be a huge motivator. Knowing that I will be regularly checking in with you can help you stick to your action plan, and will help you get back on track when life throws unexpected challenges your way.

You have a trusted resource. What protein powder should I buy? Should I be taking supplements? You can ask me all of your burning nutrition questions, knowing that you’ll get an answer based on the latest science and research.

Weight management

Weight Management involves more than restrictive dieting- it's about understanding the interplay between physiology, nutrition and behavioir. It's a process influenced by more than just caloriee intake or willpower.

Digestive health

Whether you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, SIBO, or a combination of both, there is hope for healing and remission.

One day, you think you’ve found the trigger. But the next day, that same thing doesn’t seem to affect you at all. Which is why GI and digestive issues can be some of the most puzzling (and frustrating!) health issues to deal with.
The gut issues can overtake your life.  I know it from my personal experience and can help to develop your recovery roadmap.

My Story

For years I was dealing with digestive issues, eczema and chronic urticaria.

No one seemed to take it seriously; most doctors just brushed it off with a prescription for some cortisone cream. After experiencing a sudden anaphylactic shock, I was  prescribed stronger steroid medication to reduce skin reactions.

But I knew, these medications were just masking the symptoms, without resolving the root cause of my health issue. I always suspected a close link between my digestive health, foods and skin inflammation.

So I went back to university to study nutritional science to learn physiology, digestion, microbiome and to better understand nutrition impact on my health. What started as a search for answers became a real passion - nutritional therapy which has completely changed my professional and personal life...

My Values

I base my work on up-to-date nutrition science, aiming to understand what's driving your symptoms and how nutrition can support your health in a meaninful way.

This approach is shaped by years of working closely with physically active people - seeing firsthand how nutrition can improve performance and recovery.

Whether you are managing chronic symptoms or aiming to improve your performance, I prioritise long-term progress- not quick fixes.

Current research highlights how nutrition can influence everyhting from metabolic function and hormonal balance to gut health and immune resilience. But the real impact comes when we apply that science in a way that's practical and relevant to your day-to-day life.

I'm heare to guide you through that proces and help you build lasting habits!

My Approach

I focus not only on nutrition & diet, but also on physical exercise as a therapy in my practice.

I strongly believe that both changes need to be implemented to achieve meaningful and sustainable results in the long-term, especially in weight loss and chronic conditions management.

Being passionate by research in nutritional science and physical activity & sport, i use various tools to assess individual metabolic health, body composition and nutrition imbalances.

With my husband Laurent, we run a  sport & nutritional lab in Corsica open to all types of clients looking to improve their health.

Vladimir, 60

"I was overweight and diabetic. After 9 months of working with Karina, I lost 12 kilos and most importantly, I was able to get my blood sugar under control. It was not an easy journey, there were a lot of ups & downs, but the results are great. I'm very grateful to Karina for her continued support throughout this time."

Olivier, 45

"I was becoming more serious about training smarter for ultras, but unfortunately, I never really paid as much attention to my nutrition as I should. To be honest, I thought I was already doing a good job by following my usual diet.

In sport events, I was loading on commercially available bars and gels, but I didn't know if it was sufficient or optimal . Karina did a great, very detailed analysis of my diet, identifying many imbalances. My protein intake was also not adequate for the amount of training. With a new training and proper diet, I'm hoping to get a new PB in Nice ironman this year."

Paula, 45

"I met Karina at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition Clinic for 3 consultations, looking to manage my irritable bowel symptoms.

I also had rosacea for the past 5 years, but it's worsen considerably

during lockdowns despite regular use of antibiotic creams.  After initial consultation, the dietary changes have significantly improved my digestion. I no longer had bloating or abdominal cramps. It was such a joy to get my flat stomach back! Karina also guided me through the elimination diet and all potential triggers of rosacea that allowed me to avoid flare-ups."
