Few examples of analysis and functional tests that may be undertaken for deeper investigation. At CapraNutrition we can give you access to a wide variety of functional testing through trusted private laboratories.

Dietary Analysis

This report is based on detailed 3 days food diary.

It shows macro and micro nutrient breakdowns, calorie consumption, deficiencies and commentary on observed pattern with recommendation to correct.

DUTCH Test

Dutch Complete Hormone Profile is suitable for women and men looking investigate possible hormonal imbalances or hormone related conditions. 

The test includes markers providing information about adrenal (stress) hormones as well as reproductive hormones (oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone).

Food Intolerance

Food Intolerance is a reaction to food that may cause unpleasant symptoms and is associated with a host of chronic conditions. Symptoms can occur swiftly after eating an offending food but they can also take as long as five days to occur meaning that it can be very difficult working out exactly which foods you are reacting to.

Stool Test

Stool Test offers a comprehensive look into digestive function. It provides information on the make-up of the gastrointestinal microbial abundance and balance.  It includes good, imbalanced and potentially bad or harmful bacteria as well as looking for the presence of yeasts including candida plus it checks for parasites and worms. Additionally, the profile checks fat absorption, protein digestion, pancreatic function, intestinal inflammation, gut immunity and metabolic processes.

Body Composition Analysis

A Tanita body composition monitor provides you with valuable measurements regarding your health. These measurements tell you about your body fat, muscles, metabolism, bone structure and body water. Measuring your body composition will tell you your own body's unique makeup and help you identify areas to work on to improve your overall health and wellness

SIBO Test

SIBO is fast being recognised as a leading cause of IBS and Digestive symptoms. It's a condition in which abnormally large numbers of bacteria are present in the small intestine. 

SIBO breath test can confirm if this is adding to your bloating, loose stools, constipation, burping and indigestion.

This test measures levels of hydrogen and methane in the breath after ingestion of lactulose.

Toxic Heavy Metals

The Comprehensive Urine Elements Profile is a toxic exposure test which measures urinary excretion of 15 nutrient elements and 20 toxic metals. These include classic toxins such as lead, mercury, and arsenic, as well as newer technology toxins such as niobium. This is an ideal toxic exposure test for clients suspected of toxic metal exposure as well as potential nutrient mineral wasting.

Metabolic tests

  • Exercise testing, to evaluate how your body burns fuel during exercise. These numbers can help you to make smart choices about different types of exercise.
